The four domains of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching are described as being separate entities. This does not imply, however that educators perform each of them in isolation. Teaching is a holistic practice; the onstage behaviors of domains 2 and 3 are enmeshed with the off-stage behaviors of domains 1 and 4.
