Common Core Standards Update

On July 1, 2010, the Pennsylvania State Board of Education adopted the Common Core State Standards in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics, with a transition plan that targets July 1, 2013, as the full implementation date. The Board's unanimous vote follows six months of careful study that produced evidence of strong alignment between Common Core and Pennsylvania standards.
