Activities

Solve for x: x + 12 = 22
Solve for a: a x 6 = 18

Sophia bought 112 bottles of water. There are sixteen bottles of water in a case. Write an equation that can be used to find the number of cases, c, Sophia bought.
Amir works a set number of hours, h, each day, Monday through Friday. On Thursday he worked four extra hours. This week he worked a total of 34 hours. Write an equation that can be used to find how many hours a day he works.

Eileen bought 4 bags of twenty-five balloons and another bag of helium balloons. If Eileen ended up with a total of 130 balloons, how many helium balloons, b, were in the bag? Write and solve an equation.
