Keystone Exams
The Assessment Anchors are one of the many tools the Pennsylvania Department of Education has developed to better align curriculum, instruction and assessment practices throughout the state. PDE first released the Assessment Anchors for Mathematics and Reading in the spring of 2004. The Assessment Anchors, like the Standards, are dynamic documents and will be adjusted periodically. These standards are offered as a voluntary resource for Pennsylvania's schools and await action by the State Board of Education. The course level standards are offered as a voluntary resource for Pennsylvania's schools.
* On September 16, 2010, the State Board of Education adopted the Algebra I, Literature, and Biology standards (referenced below) in preparation for U.S. Department of Education approval for use in determining Adequate Yearly Progress.
