The list below represents a continuum of activities: resources categorized by Standard/Eligible Content that teachers may use to move students toward proficiency. Using LEA curriculum and available materials and resources, teachers can customize the activity statements/questions for classroom use.

- Life cycle is defined as the series of stages through which a living thing passes from the beginning of its life until its death.
- Acceptable responses may include, but are not limited to:
- Egg/sperm, Babies, children, adolescents, and adults.

- Human and plant life cycles are similar because they go in stages.
- Plants start off as seeds, humans start off as babies.
- Plants can grow into trees, humans can grow into adults.

- A plant starts off as a seed.
- The seedling starts to sprout leaves.
- It grows into a small plant.
- The plant continues to grow.
- The plant is mature with seeds, and the seeds fall to the ground to start a new plant.

- The life cycle for plants and animals is important because it is never ending.
- Life needs to go in a new cycle so new life is created.
- If life did not go into a cycle, populations would die out.
