The NASA TechRise Student Challenge is a free nationwide opportunity for middle and high school students (grades 6 through 12) to engage in hands-on STEM learning by designing experiments to fly on a NASA-sponsored suborbital flight such as a high-altitude balloon or rocket. The challenge opens September 2025.

Student teams will:
• Design science or tech experiments for spaceflight
• Access free classroom-ready NASA STEM resources
• Participate in a virtual field trip this fall
• Compete for a chance to receive $1,500 to build their experiment
• Receive technical support from NASA TechRise advisors
• Launch their project on a commercial suborbital flight

All experience levels are welcome. Resources include lesson plans, pacing guides, slide decks, and videos to help teams get started.
