Description

Buffalo has a long cultural history of art, artisans, and their role in the community. Author William J. Barney reveals these talented people and identifies their legacy. His narration includes the formation of their organizations such as the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy, which was the precursor for the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.

This pamphlet is one of twenty-seven volumes in the Adventures in WNY History Series, which were produced based on the collections and archives of the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society. The contents of the pamphlets, including the images, are copyrighted by the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society.
