In order to reinforce the concept of rhyming, read various rhyming books such as Dr. Seuss or Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes.
Description
Children identify/match objects that rhyme.
Collect sets of small manipulative objects whose names rhyme, such as - mouse/house; tree/bee; pear/chair; spoon/moon. Working in a small group, introduce or name each object. Put all of the objects in a container. Have the children sort the objects into groups of 2 rhyming objects.
