Description
This manuscript map, hand-drawn by Sir Ernest Shackleton with blue and red crayon in 1918, documented the details of his Antarctica expedition of 1914-1916. Shackleton also identifies on the map his “farthest point south” which he reached in his earlier expedition in 1909. It was then that Shackleton discovered the South Magnetic Pole.
