Description
This interactive web-based resource allows the student to enter data, create a bar graph, and then manipulate the graph's maximum and minimum values.
Bar graphs, like histograms, are graphical data representations based on frequency. Histograms are a type of bar graph. The feature that distinguishes a histogram from a bar graph is that each bar on a histogram represents a range of data, where each bar on a bar graph represents a specific category. This activity can be used to:
- create bar graphs
- practice reading bar graphs
- explore ways to represent data visually
Teachers can use the Exploration Questions to help guide students' investigations.
