Instructional Procedures
- Teacher will introduce the Bee Bots to get the students excited about practicing letter and sound recognition.
- Teacher will show students how the Bee Bot can move in any direction that is needed to reach the letter that matches the sound.
- Teacher will review the vocabulary of forward, backward, left and right.
- Teacher will then ask which letter makes the /t/ sound.
- Teacher will call on a student to come help count the spaces to see how we should program the Bee Bot to reach the letter.
- This will continue with the other given letters and will allow as many students the opportunity to partipate with the practice.
Formative Assessment
When the Bee Bot reaches the letter that is being reviewed, the teacher will again ask what letter it landed on and what sound the letter makes.
