Continuum of Activities

The list below represents a continuum of activities: resources categorized by Standard/Eligible Content that teachers may use to move students toward proficiency. Using LEA curriculum and available materials and resources, teachers can customize the activity statements/questions for classroom use.

  2. Tables may include the following answers, but are not limited to only these:

    After completing both of the table students can answer the question about the girls’ jumping jack rates.  The answer is yes they are completing them at the same rate and reasons may include, but are not limited to:
  • Both tables have a time of 15 and jumping jack value of 90
  • When you find the unit rate they both are equivalent to 6 jumping jacks per minute.
  • They have the same rate but just start at different times.
  1. The answer to the question that the teacher asked is no.

    Reasons may include, but are not limited to:
  • is not in the table once it was completely filled in
  • The ratio is counting by two on the top of the table and it will never equal 9
  • Both parts of the ratio have to be the same for them to be equal. In this problem the bottom values of 20 are equivalent but the top values are not.
