PEERS, the Pennsylvania Educator Effectiveness Rating System, is a tool to complete Act 13 evaluations.  Two webinars are scheduled.  The May 24 session offers a review of the  available rating forms and the PEERS web-based system.    The May 26 session overviews the PEERS system and its value in completing educator ratings.

• Act 13 and PEERS: Clear Connections from Legislation to Practice

Do you need a refresher on the Act 13 evaluation requirements and forms? Which forms should you use for professional employees and temporary professional employees (13-1, 13-2, 13-3, or 13-4)? Do you need an online tool to manage the Act 13 semi-annual and annual rating tools? PEERS is an online evaluation system that is in alignment with Act 13 and provided at no cost to all LEAs/districts by PDE. The web-enabled PEERS system walks evaluators through the necessary components of Act 13 evaluation forms with information to prompt decision-making at every step. PEERS supports users in the evaluation process beginning with a mapping of the Act 13 evaluation form for staff roles in schools and LEAs/districts to finalizing evaluations and tracking your trends. PEERS also uses existing data from PIMS, Future Ready PA Index, and PVAAS to pre-populate fields in the evaluation.
