The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education, is pleased to announce the following training opportunity:

Designing Student Practice in Mathematics

Dates/Locations: 
March 11, 2026 – PaTTAN Central
March 24, 2026 – PaTTAN East
March 31, 2026 – PaTTAN West

Times: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM - All Locations

Description: 
This professional development opportunity will introduce teachers to structural differences in problem sets that support students' growth through the stages of the Instructional Hierarchy. The variance and organization of problem types during independent practice can either promote or hinder growth. It is important that teachers provide the right kind of student work to support the acquisition, fluency, generalization, or retention of mathematical concepts and procedures.

Target Audience: Special Education Teachers, Elementary Teachers; Interventionists; Instructional Coaches; Curriculum Coordinators; IU TaCs

Presenters: PaTTAN Educational Consultants

Credits: Act 48 hours
