April is Month of the Military Child
April is proudly recognized as the Month of the Military Child -- a time to honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of children in military families. Our school community celebrates these incredible students who support loved ones serving our country.
Since 1986, the U.S. Department of Defense has recognized April 15 as Purple Up Day! We invite everyone to participate in Pennsylvania’s Virtual Military Family Spirit Week from April 13–17 and share their spirit on social media using #PurpleUpPA
The week includes:
April 13 – Red, White, and Blue Day
April 14 – Support Your Favorite Military Branch Day
April 15 – State-wide Purple Up! Day
April 16 – Camouflage (“Digi”) Day
April 17 – R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) Friday—wear red
